Love My Mom...

My mom arrived today, just in time, as I was beginning to become overwhelmed with decorating the nursery, decisions tend to be easier to make with her advice. Our first stop after leaving the airport was USA Baby. We weren't in the store twenty seconds when we both agreed on the first crib/dresser we saw. Previously I had spent two hours walking around the store trying to decide on furniture (to my defense, this set wasn't on display), but when Sue's in town, STUFF HAPPENS! Matt approved and off to the next item on the check list...

Our next stop was Calico Corners to look for fabic to make a window treatment, no luck. Then Hancock Fabrics and Tony's Fabrics, no luck. I was beginning to get discouraged again, so I thought we should try a different approach and look for paint. Off to Lowe's we went, a few paint swatches later, we decided on "Willow"...

Matt started painting the nursery and we were off again to Distinctive Fabrics. There we found a swatch I really liked and mom is going to make the window shade, crib skirt and pillow for the rocker.
