Ella'isms
- Ella..."I've got some good news and some bad news." Me..."Ok, what's the good news?" Ella..."and some bad news."
- After a game of 'Ring Around The Rosie' her response "Whoa, whoa, I'm busy"
- Ella trips over her plastic food, her response "Hey, what's the big idea?"
- Violet..."Hi Ella, want to play?" Ella..."No, no I don't Violet. Ella wants milk"
- Matt..."Does Minnie Mouse have a tail?" Ella..."Yes, she does" Matt..."Does Ella have a tail?" Ella..."No, I have a hoo-hoo"
- Ella..."It's dark, the sun went nite-nite. Where the time go?"
On Wednesday we went for Ella's 18 months check up. She weighs 22.8 pounds and is 31 inches tall, both fall in the 30th percentile, but she has grown two inches since November. Unfortunately, Ella has associated Dr. Barringer's nurse with getting shots, so once Ella saw her face she freaked out. Once back in the exam room, she settled down and was happy to see Dr. Barringer, at least until she started the exam. Oh well, at least there were no shots this visit and won't be any until Kindergarten. She is very impressed with Ella's progress, especially her vocabulary. These days Matt and I find ourselves wondering "who taught her that" and "where did she learn that", she is like a little sponge. She tells us when she wants to take a bath and that she's ready to go "night-night". She has excelled at Gymboree. She is able to follow and anticipate instructions. So much has changed in the last few months. It's hard to believe she's six months closer to her 2nd birthday!
